Easy Hunter Stew

 Ingredients

2 Tbsp. oil

1 medium chopped onion

3 cloves minced garlic

1 lb. venison, cut into chunks

3 large potatoes, cut into cubes

1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes

1 8 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained

1/2 tsp. dried thyme

1/2 tsp. dried sage

2 Tbsp. Wild Pairings™ Chipotle Hot Sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Cook onion and garlic, stirring until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add venison to skillet. Cook, stirring until evenly browned.

  4. Add potatoes, tomatoes, mushrooms, thyme, sage, hot sauce, salt, and pepper into mixture. Cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes, until venison is tender.
