Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup Van Guilder’s Milk Chocolate Hot Chocolate Mix
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
Start by mixing both sugars and butter in a large bowl. Stir in the additional wet ingredients. Set aside.
Combine all dry ingredients in a separate bowl. When fully combined, add a scoopful of the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix. As the scoop of dry mix combines, keep adding one scoopful at a time until all the dry ingredients are fully mixed into the bowl with the wet ingredients.
Stir in chips/chunks, then cover bowl and chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until cookie dough is firm.
Preheat oven to 350˚F and prepare baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop 2 tablespoons of dough, 2 inches apart onto the sheet. Use fork tines to lightly press cookies. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Remove from the oven and allow cookies to cool on parchment paper for 5-10 minutes, then cool on cookie racks. Enjoy!
